Some information you may need before visiting us


Cancellation/lateness policy

All clients are now required to confirm their appointments with their card details via our booking system Fresha

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least a full 24 hours so we can allocate the appointment to another client. Failure to do so will incur a cancellation fee. 

By confirming an appointment with ONYX, you agree to arrive at your appointment on time.

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your appointment.

A 10 minute grace period is permitted. Anything later will result in a cancellation or treatment reduction.

Cancellations under these circumstances and no shows will be charged at 50% of the service. 

As we are concerned with you and your children's safety, we strictly prohibit unsupervised children in the salon. It is compulsory that you supervise your children through the entire duration of the service. 

Hair Treatment Policy 


We offer comprehensive hair consultations and hair colour consultations. Consultations and skin tests must be booked in at least 48 hours before a colour service appointment for clients first colour service at ONYX. 

Our services

Our price structure reflects the educational knowledge and practical experience of our stylist. The range in each price bracket is determined by the condition of the hair, the length and/or density, the desired finish, the time to perform the service and the amount of materials / products used. Prices may be subject to change after consultation.

Please note for ALL services there is a surcharge depending on the length and thickness of the hair as this takes more time and products. All colour prices do not include blowdry, cut or finish so please book this in online to complete the booking. 

Colour services that are not completed with "after colour blow-dry" or "haircut" will be moved to a more suitable date or removed altogether. This is to ensure that we have enough time to carry out the service sufficiently and check the colour. 

Please respect our timings and bookings and ensure that you have enough time for the complete service. 

If your hair has pre-existing braids and needs to be taken out in the salon there will be an additional charge of £5 per 15 minutes.

Whilst proper detangling is a significant feature included in each service, we kindly request that if your hair has been in a protective style, has matted or fused together or is extremely tangled, to either detangle prior to your appointment or a detangling fee of £!5 will be added to your service.

Clients are not permitted to bring in their own products or to be used by our stylist. 

We are not liable for the replacement or compensation of clothing during a colour/ bleach service. As a preventative measure and in the unlikely event that this occurs we kindly ask all clients to be mindful of their clothing and to wear items of low value as a precautionary measure. 

Nail Treatment Policy 

Manicure maintenance

Regular polish can chip easily so to protect and prolong your manicure you can add top-coat every other day, wear gloves when cleaning and use cuticle oil.

If you have a nude or lighter colour please be careful as it may stain. Be careful with dark coloured clothes, beauty products, makeup and cooking with spices.

If you require a Gel Removal please add this service to your booking as this is not included in the treatment time. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation or treatment reduction. 

If you are having a Gel Removal only, the price will stay at £12 which includes soak off, file, nail strengthening polish and oil.

Please note that we do not remove acrylic or sns.
